Talò is an authentic primitivo: single varietal primitivo grape and Primitivo di Manduria appellation. An intense red wine with character. It comes from vineyards cultivated not far from the sea, where it acquires its full-bodied, mineral and balsamic profile, elegant tannin and all the fruitiness and fragrance of red fruit, typical of Apulia’s most famous variety.
San Marzano is a small village in the center of the document Primitivo di Manduria, a strip of land kissed by the two seas in Salento, the Ionian and Adriatic. In 1962, the document was not yet born, the Primitivo di Manduria is far from being that cult wine, as it has become for wine lovers. However, 19 winemakers come together to follow a dream and establish Cantine San Marzano. The wine is macerated with the skins for about 10 days and then aged in French and American oak barrels for 6 months.
